About The YAML Blog¶
YAML is everywhere, but the most interesting parts of it rarely fit into a reference manual.
The YAML Blog is a place for the rest of the story: why the language works the way it does, how it got here, what implementers and users are learning and where it might go next.
You can expect writing about:
- YAML's design, specification and ongoing maintenance;
- parsers, frameworks, schemas and interoperability;
- YAML's history and the people who shaped it;
- the wider ecosystem of tools and projects; and
- new ideas for making YAML better.
About Ingy¶
Ingy döt Net is a co-creator of YAML and its lead maintainer. He writes here from the unusual perspective of someone who helped invent the language and is still working on its future.

Reuse and cross-posting¶
yaml.blog is the canonical home for this publication. Selected articles may
also appear on other YAML sites when they are useful to those audiences.
